My second feature is selected for Toronto International Film Festival. Isabelle Huppert stars as a middle-aged factory worker whose long-ago brush with fame comes to the fore again when she begins a romance with a young aspiring boxer. I have directed and co-written this movie and can’t wait to bring it to audiences.

Full of music, Souvenir marks my debut as a songwriter. I co-wrote the featured songs with Yves Verbraeken and Thomas Lauderdale from the “rollicking around-the-world musical adventure” Pink Martini.

North Sea Texas, my first feature, has won numerous prizes. It was theatrically released in major territories like the U.S.A  and the U.K . Variety’s Alissa Simon found it to be “a poignantly rendered coming-of-ager, delicately capturing the ecstasy of first love”

My love for filmmaking started with four short films on a dvd named Campfire, originally released by the British Film Institute. I am happy to have been making films together with my creative team mate Yves Verbraeken since these first short films. We’ve come a long way.

When I am not travelling to prepare, shoot or present a movie, you might find me on the beach of my home city Oostende, walking my dog. He is a Brussels Griffon who goes by the name of Flok. That means cuddle.
